Spring balancers and zero gravity balancers from Carl Stahl Kromer offer a five times higher service life than comparable products from other manufacturers.
The zero gravity balancers from Carl Stahl Kromer impress with their ideal balancing performance that distinguishes them clearly from many competition products.

Promises must be kept! Yes, we do claim to provide products of the highest possible quality while keeping operation as easy as possible. Nonetheless, there have been some recurring problems in the past regarding accidental spring fracture when untensioning the springs of the balancer series 7241, 7248, 7251 and 7261.
Therefore, our latest development – a patented freewheel device for the above-mentioned zero gravity balancer models – is bound to have a highly positive effect on the operation and durability of these products, as it reliably prevents spring fracture when releasing the spring. In the past, spring fracture could occur when slackening the spring beyond the zero point. Such overrotation in the “minus” direction is now simply rendered ineffective, with no impact on the spring. You just hear a clicking sound similar to that produced by the freewheel or reverse pedaling mechanism of a bicycle, immediately triggered upon reaching the zero point. Apart from the direct benefit in terms of effective prevention of spring fracture caused inadvertently during spring release, this protection mechanism also increases the balancer’s life and ease of use significantly. The basic functions and operation of these zero gravity balancers are unaffected by this measure, thus remaining unchanged.
The new device will come as a standard feature in all of our balancer models 7241, 7248, 7251 and 7261 from 1 July 2008. We’ll notify you separately about a minor price adjustment necessitated by this measure.
