By using a second rope, the crash of the load can be prevented without external accessories in the event of a possible breakage of the suspension cable. The market launch of the new product took place one year later.

Another important milestone in the company's history was the takeover of the Handling Technology Division by the international operating Carl Stahl Group and the transfer to Carl Stahl Kromer GmbH in November 2000. Carl Stahl GmbH is also a family-run company from the Swabian town of Süßen (near Göppingen) engaged in the manufacture and sale of high quality steel wire ropes and equipment for handling loads.

Carl Stahl Kromer is growing steadily: 27 percent more sales and 35 percent more new orders than in the previous year. The square was also narrow in the Freiburg building, which is why the company moved in 2011 in the larger Gottenheimer new building.
